## About XJTU |
|
|
|
|
|
Founded in 1896, XJTU is one of China's oldest and most prestigious universities. |
|
|
Located in the historic city of Xi'an, the university is renowned for its excellence in electrical engineering, automation, computer science, energy and power engineering, and mathematics. |
|
|
|
|
|
XJTU has been designated as a key institution under China’s "Seventh Five-Year" and "Eighth Five-Year" national development plans. |
|
|
It was among the first group of universities included in the national "Project 211" and "Project 985" initiatives. |
|
|
In 2017, it was selected as a Class A university under the national "Double First-Class" initiative, and in 2022, it was included in the second round of the "Double First-Class" university development plan. |

|
Eight of its disciplines were selected as national "Double First-Class" disciplines, while twelve disciplines were recognized as "Double First-Class" disciplines by Shaanxi Province. |

According to data released by ESI in January 2024, nineteen disciplines at the university ranked among the world’s top 1% of academic institutions, six disciplines entered the top 0.1%, and Engineering ranked among the top 0.001%, placing 9th globally. |
